MONITORING OF CONSCIOUSNESS (BIS system)
The BIS Index trend clearly displays the effects of anesthesia induction in a patient. Close inspection of the trend demonstrates rapid decrease of the BIS Index during induction using bolus administration of intravenous hypnotic in preparation for endotracheal intubation.
